Food, Family and Feelings at Christmas
A free hour for a kinder December.
Christmas doesn’t come with a manual either
Christmas can bring a lot of food, a lot of family and a lot of comments. The extra helping you didn’t want. The remark about your plate. The old feelings that turn up the minute you walk through the door.
You’re not the only one who finds it hard. Not by a long way.
In this relaxed online session I’ll share simple ways to notice what’s driving an urge, answer the inner critic, and respond to remarks about your plate or your body.
“There is nothing to be ashamed of.”

Want more support in the new year?
Beyond the Jab, my eight-week online group for your relationship with food, starts provisionally on Monday 11 January 2027. And if you’d rather talk one to one, I offer counselling in Preston, and online wherever you are in the UK.
This session isn’t a crisis or emergency service. If you’re worried about your eating, Beat offers support at beateatingdisorders.org.uk. If you’re struggling to cope, you can call Samaritans free on 116 123, day or night. In an emergency, call 999.
